On June16th 2005 at 18:15 PDT, (2.15 a.m. in the
U.K.)
this little old Chaplin Plane sold for an incredible $8,600
on eBay.
Seller, Greg Walsh said “I bought it at a garage sale for $2.00
(THERE IS A GOD!!!!)”

There’s no accounting for taste. If I’d seen this on sale for $2.00,
I think I’d have happily kept my two bucks in my pocket…..
but $8,600???
Suddenly this old thing is beginning
to look almost attractive.

Okay God, where are all the rest of these rusty ingots hanging
out???
I’ll up Greg’s price to £5.00 GB pounds for every
single one.
Single items to truckloads accepted.
!!
Update !!
Now, do you think that is amazing??
Well check this one out.
Another similar Chaplin, in a little better condition,
sold at auction for $20,000 more than this one did.

Anyone out there with a similar or better tool
related good-luck story?
I’d be interested to hear from you.
