
The depth stop is opperated by loosening
the screw on the side and then twisting the thumb screw.
This will raise or lower the stop to the required depth.

The sliding section is set up by loosening
the two screws in the bottom and moving the
fence to the desired width.
Notice the "nicker" blade
behind the depth stop. It is held by a small boxwood wedge and is
used when
using the plane across the grain to cut the wood fibres directly in front
of the cutter.

The front view shows the "boxed" section.
This is a piece of boxwood which is the length
of the plane and is set in to
reduce wear on the sole from constant use.
