This plane was obviously made by a joiner
who had a large amount of wide rebate work to do.
It is just over 13" long by 3 3/4" high
excluding the handle, and has a 1 3/4" cutter.
The stock and the handle are fashioned out of one block of wood.
There is a repaired crack to the front of the handle, which is a pity but it's
still good enough to use.
It's not every day you come across a rabbet
plane like this.
