The Lewin Universal Combination Plane was advertised as The Six-Fifteen.  The reason it was given this name was it's price, it sold for 6 pounds and 15 shillings, (£6.75 in todays money).

It has a Die-Cast Aluminium handle and body with Steel Skates and a beech, adjustable fence. Cams are used to tighten the sliding section, fence and arms.  It is much lighter to use than the Record 405 and the Stanley 45.

It fits into it's wooden box, fully assembled.   The 18 cutters are kept in a slotted storage block glued to the inside of the box.

Here you see the label on the side of the box.
