Record 2506S Side Rebate plane.

 

This plane was supplied in two versions, the 2506 and the 2506S
The difference was that the S has a guide fence while the former did not.

The 2506 is ideal for widening grooves where a board or piece of glass etc. may be too tight to fit.
It has two blades so can be used left or right handed and the nose can be removed to allow
the plane to work up into the end of a stopped groove.
