Stanley No. 53 Adjustable Mouth Spokeshave.
The Stanley No.53 Spokeshave has an adjustable throat and
was Manufactured from 1870
to 1947.
It is 10" long and has a 2-1/8" cutter. The throat is spring tensioned,
there being two springs, one either side at the bottom of the lever cap and
the adjustment is made by turning the screw at the top of the lever cap.
Stanley No. 55 Hollow Face Spokeshave.
The Stanley No.55 Hollow Face Spokeshave has an adjustable throat and was
Manufactured from 1870 to 1950. It is 10" long and has a 2-1/8" cutter.
A very useful tool in the workshop for planing all types of round work
such as chair legs, handles etc.
Stanley No. 60 Double Cutter, Hollow and Flat face Spokeshave.
The Stanley No.60 Double Cutter, hollow and flat face Spokeshave has two blades, one hollow and a flat one. It is 10" long and the
cutters are 1-1/2" wide. This handy tool was Manufactured
from 1870 to 1958. This one is an early Sweetheart placing it between 1920 and 1922.
It has a cast iron bar to hold the cutters in place while later models have
a steel bar.
Stanley No 62 Twin Blade Reversible Spokeshave.
The Stanley No 62 Twin Blade Reversible Spokeshave is quite
a scarce tool. It has two cutters seated in a V block, one facing forward and
one facing back, so you can plane away from you as normal and also
on the return stroke. It
is 10" long and has a 2-1/8" cutter. It was Manufactured from
1877 to 1923.
Stanley No. 65 Chamfer Spokeshave.
The Stanley
No. 65 Chamfer Spokeshave is 10" long with a 1-1/2" cutter. It
was Manufactured from 1884 to 1941.
This Spokeshave was used for creating chamfers up to 1 ½” wide.
It has 2 moveable fences. Their faces are at a 45 degree angle to the blade giving
a 90 degree angle in total.
Stanley No.66 Beader/Reeder Shave.
The Stanley No.66 Beader/Reeder Shave was originally 10"
long but from 1909 the length was increased to 11-1/2". It was
Manufactured between 1886 and 1941. The early versions,
1886 to 1897/8 were Black Jappaned. 1898 saw the introduction of
the Nickel Plated versions. (See further description regarding cutters

Stanley No.67 Universal Spokeshave.
The Stanley No.67
Universal Spokeshave is 9-1/4" long with a 1-7/8" cutter. It
was Manufactured from 1897 to 1941 and came with two interchangeable
Rosewood handles, two interchangeable bottoms, one flat and one round and an
adjustable fence.

The scarce Stanley No.68 Rabbet Spokeshave is 10-3/4"
long with a 2-1/8" cutter. It was Manufactured
