This one is from the "Sweetheart" period, 1923-1935

It is just under 6" long with a 1-1/4" cutter.

This plane was often carried by Stanley sales reps to be shown as a sample
as it was the smallest of the Bailey bench planes
and had all the features of
the rest of the range.
Old time carpenters liked this one for final trimming and it was small
enough
to fit in the side pocket of overalls. It could also be worked one handed.
Here you see the Sweetheart motif on the top of the cutter.
The solid brass adjustment wheel.
With rosewood handle and knob, even my wife likes this plane because it
is "so cute".
