A series of three Rabbet Planes, all the same design but different widths.
The No. 190 is 1 ½” wide., the No. 191 is 1 ¼” wide and the No. 192 is 1" wide.

The Stanley No.190 series Rabbet Planes are 8" long. From
the back, a No.190, No.191 and a No.192. These planes are all much the same
except for differing widths (see above). All three are fitted with Depth
Stops & Spurs.

The No.190 is the widest, 1 ½”, the 191 is 1 ¼” and the 192 is 1”.
These 3 were all made in USA at different periods, the No.192 being the latest,
about 1910, and the 190 being the earliest, about 1889 with 2 trade marks
on the cutter plus revised trade mark. It also has the early decorative
lever cap screw.

The 190 and 191 have Millers pattern handles with the Fancy Ivy design,
The 192, still with Millers pattern handle but with later fish scale design.
Later models, 1920 onward, have the normal No.78 type handle
as seen on today’s 78s, with no lower horn.

The lever cap on the No.192 is held to the inner side of the main stock
by a screw, much the same as the No.39 series of planes whereas the other
two have screws in the blade seat to hold the lever cap as is found
in the No.78. None of these planes were equipped with a fence. All
have a spur under the depth stop for cross grain and filletster work.
