Type 7, Mfd. Between 1893-1899

The Stanley Bailey No.8 is 24” long with a 2 5/8” wide cutter. A 3 ½” No.100
sits beside it.

Here we see the Corrugated sole. Corrugated planes were used on resinous timbers such as Pitch Pine to lessen friction.

The only place it is marked Stanley is on the lateral adjuster. No 8 is on the toe.
It’s 110 years old and still works as well as it did when first bought.
