Stanley No.90J Bull Nose Rabbet Plane.

Manufactured 1935 or 1937 to 1943 in the USA (up until recently in England). One source states was on sale from 1935, another 1937.

For General Bull Nose Rabbet Work.   This is the English version.

The Stanley No.90J Bull Nose Rabbet Plane is 4” long with a 1” wide cutter.  It is Black Jappaned.
The mouth is not adjustable, neither is the blade, other than setting it by hand.

Due to it's short production run of only eight years, the USA model is relatively hard to find, and if you do find one, be prepared to pay up to ten times more than you would for an English one.

The model number, No.90J is stamped on the left side of the English one.

On the English model, Stanley is embossed on the Handle/Lever Cap and the cutter is marked Stanley, Made In Eng., 90J.  The USA model has Made in USA cast on the Lever Cap where it rests on the blade and 90J is stamped on the Right side.
