They are 4” Long with a 1/2" wide cutter and are Nickel Plated Cast Iron with Rosewood Knobs.
Convenient for side-rabbeting in trimming dados, mouldings and grooves. A reversible nose-piece allows it to work up close into corners.

Type 1 has an "S" casting mark and was made between 1896 & 1903.
The 1a has a "B" casting mark and was made between 1904 and 1909.

Neither of them have provision for a depth stop. This didn't appear till Type 3a in 1929.

These two are from later models. The No.99 is a Type 3a, Sweetheart, made between 1929 and 1935.
