How To Order

Firstly, allow me to apologise for not having a sophisticated shopping trolley like they do on other sites. At this time, building a web site, which I am still in the process of doing with this one, is a rather steep learning curve for me and I haven’t sussed the use of such things yet but hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day.

At the moment ordering any tools that I have for sale will have to be done by e-mail or by telephone. Details will be given at the foot of this page.

Methods of payment required will be one of the three following options,

1. A Personal Cheque in GBP drawn on a UK Bank Account.

2. Cash in GB pounds, Euros or US dollars at an agreed rate. Some International Postal Orders are acceptable but Please contact me first if wishing to pay by this method.

3. Through Paypal in GBP using any major credit card. Contact by e-mail should always be made first to check availability.

Please read the following thoroughly-

I am a private collector and seller, I am not a dealer and this is not a business. Any item I may have for sale on this site is from my own private collection and is surplus to my requirements. I have acquired many tools over the last 20 years and still trawl the antique and car boot fairs searching for finds to add to my collection but I may have duplicate and surplus items that I need to move on to make room for the new acquisitions.

Items For Sale - I have described the items I have for sale to the best of my knowledge and ability but I am only human and if I have made any errors they will be genuine errors. I may have omitted something that you as a buyer feel that I should have made clear. If you think this is the case, please e-mail me with your questions or concerns, and I will be happy to answer honestly and completely within the limits of my knowledge and will duly amend the error or omission. If you wish further pictures of an item you are interested in, please ask.

Payment - I accept and prefer Paypal. I also accept personal cheques (drawn on UK banks), postal and money orders and cash (sent at your risk). Payment will only be accepted in Pounds Sterling or Cash in US dollars or Euros at an agreed exchange rate.

Shipping - I will ship to addresses in the UK, The European Community, Australia, Canada and the USA.

Despatch - When paid in cash, POs, or MOs, or by Paypal, I will despatch goods before the end of the next postal day. For cheques and other forms of indirect payment I will despatch goods before the end of the next postal day following clearance of payment (normally 5 to 7 days, but note that cheque clearance can take 8 days).

Liability and Insurance - I will pack items carefully, but I will not be liable for loss or damage once it has left my hands. If you wish insurance cover, please ask for a quote before paying for any goods. I only ship with a "signed for" option, where this is available. I appreciate that this costs you a little more, but it protects both of us. If you wish to waive this option, the P&P charge will be reduced, but you will assume any and all shipping risks.

Postage within the UK will be calculated on the weight of your packaged purchases up to 4kg plus a “signed for” (recorded delivery) charge and will be sent by Royal Mail.

If you are interested in any item on the site, please e-mail me with details of the item and your address and also the method you wish to pay by. I will calculate postage and advise you of any optional insurance if required.
